Monster Waves Strike San Diego Coast

To answer all of your questions, the last time we saw waves of this magnitude was about 10 years ago, during the El Nino storms. These waves were generated by a strong Pacific storm near Hawaii. Sadly, a surfer died off the SD coast yesterday. Other surfers found him floating fac-down with his board still attached to him. The lesson here is to not test mother nature.
