Monster Waves Strike San Diego Coast

They had something about this on CBS news tonight. I'm sure the San Diego coast is a surfer's heaven right now.

To answer all of your questions, the last time we saw waves of this magnitude was about 10 years ago, during the El Nino storms. These waves were generated by a strong Pacific storm near Hawaii. Sadly, a surfer died off the SD coast yesterday. Other surfers found him floating fac-down with his board still attached to him. The lesson here is to not test mother nature.

they think he had a medical condition, well thats what they said on CNN

^^I'm surprised that story made it to CNN. They now say the victim had a seizure while out in the water, and that he was surfing alone. In conditions like that, no one should have been surfing alone.
