Those are some nice aerials Brian! :shades: That open green field north(left on top pic) of Boardwalk...looks like a nice area for an urban village with some mid-rise apartment/condo's...tied to the BassPro/Casino's etc....and the 2nd pic always like the density of the high-rises in the Shreveport CBD!

Did not want to reply here unless i posted pic myself...took this the other day...at I-10/Essen Lane Overpass where widening extra lane is taking place...The OLOL Hospital is currently expanding with a 10-story Cardio-Vascular Tower on the right

If there's one thing that Baton Rouge needs, it's freeway widening... out the @$$!! lol People always say, "Driving in Baton Rouge reminds me of driving in Dallas!" There's good reason to say that. I've never seen a metro area of under 1 million people with that kind of traffic.

Oh and to respond on the photos I posted. That green area just to the north of Margaritaville actually is the planned home of a golf facility owned by Bossier City PGA pro, David Toms. We're fortunate to have two PGA pros from here who give back to the community. This is planned to be the David Toms Golf Academy, but he and Margaritaville are in discussions about shared use of the golf course so that Margaritaville could add a golf course to its list of amenities. They would be the only casino property around here to offer immediate access to a golf course, officially making them a well-rounded resort complex. And then I mentioned the other local PGA golfer, Hal Sutton, who is from Shreveport, opened Sutton Children's Hospital in Shreveport a few years ago, as part of Christus Schumpert Hospital.

Personally, I think it's fugly. I think it was supposedly designed by some renowned architect. In my opinion, sometimes architects think TOO FAR outside of the box. I'm just glad it's down in Natchitoches and not up here in Shreveport, because I would be very disappointed to have it in my city.

This is NOT my photo. I do have a similar one, but I couldn't find it. I can't find most of my old photos anymore.

This is downtown Shreveport, from a different perspective than we're used to seeing it from. The reference point of this perspective view is on Common Street/Line Avenue, right in front of the now defunct Doctor's Hospital. This view is from the south, looking north.

Welcome to the Louisiana forum Shreveportguitarist! Have always liked the density of Shreveport's skyline! :shades:

Thanks, Richy, but you know me (Brian). I lost my old email account because I forgot my login info after not logging in for a long time.

Here are a couple of photos that belong to the Shreveport Times. These are of the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, where Elvis and many others got their starts. It has undergone a renovation over the past few years and re-opened to the public today.

The new Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches

I think it looks pretty nice, it is modern but it is a simple/classy modern. This is what the library downtown should look like if they want a modern building.

I think it's more of a shame to have it in Louisiana alone, known for our architecture. Then they put it in one of our great towns.

I mean in a city like BR or New Orleans it would fit in better and add some nice variation somewhere, but for a much more historical town it does not fit at all. Hey at least we don't have anything designed by Santiago Calatrava.

I haven't represented Shreveport-Bossier in a while. I found these two dramatic photos online and loved them. A downtown/riverfront aerial and a shot looking over the Louisiana Boardwalk at Eldorado, Sam's Town and Margaritaville. I love these photos.

Thanks Brian

Pressed for time as usual....should have stopped to get better pic of downtown Lake Charles.  Have always been impressed with the Height of this High-rise for a  city this size.  Now is actually the 2nd Tallest; a few miles away  L'Auberge Du Lac Hotel & Casino at 343 ft is now the Tallest.

Capital One Tower....22 floors / 314'ft...built in 1981
