Most Pedestrian Friendly cities

Atlanta is never high on any pro-pedestrian / bicycle list, no surprise. Probably because Atlanta isn't a pedestrian safe metro.

nearly 20 percent not using a car is not too bad though.

areas around Atlanta consistently ranks around 20 percent as well.

Atlanta ranks 63rd among cities over 50,000.

Savannah has 10 around percent.

That is an ineresting site.

the list shows with amazing figures how much communities depend on the car for everything... Sprawl just doesn't mix well with walking biking and bus riding

I think that with better design Southestern cities will do well. We are a growing region of the US which gives us an opportunity to try again and get it right.

Statesboro ranked 15th in Ga for cities 10,000+. It will probably move up the ranks with the new GSU Transit System that about 25,000 people use per day, and with the new greenway and the redesign of downtown's streetscape.
