I heard about that. I was thinking Mustang was close to the OKC area. I've been wondering if the fires might eventually start popping up in Arkansas too. We're in a pretty bad drought over here too.

I finally found a map somewhere with the affected counties. One borders southwest Arkansas and one borders the Oklahoma county adjacent to my county here in Arkansas. It's been just as dry if not dryer here in Arkansas. But since we have more trees we don't seem to be affected by wind quite as much as many areas in Oklahoma and Texas.

Sorry to hear that. The bad thing is that it sounds like they keep saying there's not much chance of rain anytime soon. Even when fronts are coming in they say the air is too dry to get any precipitation. The Gulf moisture doesn't start kicking in till you get over closer to Memphis.

well it seems our whole state is on fire. since tuesday 30,000 acres have burned, and since november about 250,000 acres have burned added with that at least 2 deaths and 250 structures destroyed. we need some of that rain thats flooding cali.

Really?

I can't smell anything in my neck of the woods.

I could when I went to work this morning. But then I think the winds shifted. I couldn't tell anything when I got off work. They even mentioned being able to smell the smoke on the early morning news.

Anyone have any news on the fires in Oklahoma. Seems like I've been hearing more about Texas than OKlahoma. Wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Although I thought I'd heard that things were still not too good around the OKC metro.
