The estimated population on July 1, 2019 for Conway was 67,638, in has now passed North Little Rock.

New development includes an under construction Raising Cane's, a new high school building for St. Joseph School, a permit has been issued for a Courtyard by Marriott and additional construction at Conway Regional Hospital.

Markham Square will be a new park between Markham and Front Streets.

Other projects include Raising Cane's, unknown construction at Lewis Ranch and a Courtyard by Marriott next to Lewis Crossing as well as the Windgate Center for Arts and Donaghey Street improvements fronting UCA. .

The above mentioned under construction Courtyard truns out to be the first phase of a 55 acre mixed use development. The Courtyard will be followed by a 28,000 sq ft event center and a 55,000 sq ft entertainment/bowling center with construction to finish by late Spring 2022. In the design phase is a 480 unit multifamily residential development to start construction next year. Plans include retail, resturants, a pavilion, food truck court and a second hotel.

Maly's Entertainment Center.

Conway Block Plant will become Conway Social.  Construction fencing is being installed.

First Community Bank.

Westrock Coffee has announced the construction of a $70 million dollar distribution center to be located a little over 2 milers from their $275 million facility fronting I-40.

Harps has announced they will be constructing a second location in Conway.

 An Arkansas Manufacturing  Workforce Training Center will be constructed at Central Landing with a price tag of $35 to $40 million.

Aldi has confirmed it will locate a store in Conway.

The construction fence is up for the build out of the new Ald'si store to be located in Lewis Crossing.  

To the east Maly's Entertainment will be opening soon.

Across Dave Ward Drive at Lewis Ranch the following projects are either in the works or have been announced/planed.:

  The Encore Apartments under construction., a 105 unit development.

   Five Guys to be located in the same building as Rock-N-Roll Sushi.

   The Purple Cow is listed as a future tenet.

   Two other plots are listed as under contract, one nest to Walk-On's and the other next to Texas Roadhouse.

Maly's Entertainment. Plans are to open next month.

Two items that are of interest before the planning commission next week.

Braum's is seeking some adjustments in order to construct one of their largest units. This is the same location where What-A-Burger wanted to go but was turned down.

Also, a change in   zoning for Central Landing to remove single family and increase the property available for multi-family (700 to 1440 units). Central Landing fronts on three sides the new $40 million Aquatics Center scheduled to start construction in September.

Maly's Entertainment opened this week. Also, construction containers have been moved adjacent(south) of the Courtyard by Marriott. The plans for the Maly District show this will be the location for the 172,000+ square  foot event center.

Progress continues on Westrock Coffee's projects in Conway.

$70 million, 530,000 square foot distribution center under construction.

Westrock has demolished the former Kimberly-Clark plant next to I-40 and construction on a manufacturing facility will take it's place.

Whataburger has announced a new location after being turned down  before. It will be located on Oak and I-40.

Chipotle will be building a second location at Salem and Prince.

Chuy's will be going into the Lewis Ranch development.

Seven Oaks Steak and Seafood will be going into the Halter Building in downtown. It will be owned by the general manager of the Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland in Roland, Oklahoma.

The Hudson an apartment complex consisting of 21 buildings and a clubhouse is in the works for the southwest corner of Central Landing.
