Thank you! That came about as a result of the quote in my signature, which is in the article on Greenville's push for tourism. I think it perfectly summarizes Greenville's "can do" attitude. I would add that it is our responsibility to get out and make these things happen though. :tough:

EDIT! I just noticed a misspelling in my avatar, so I changed it again. :blush: It was late last night when I made it, so I'll have to recreate it with proper spelling later. Sorry! At least my signature appears to be correct.

After my coffee downtown this morning, went out to Verdae and "hiked" around a little with my dog. Guys, I was shocked! :w00t: Obviously there is all the work going on that you can see from Verdae Blvd, but get off on some of those side roads and in the woods and there are multiple things going on. Lots of "terraforming".

- Behind the office buildings where Greenville First is based, is a new lake (may be a holding pond, but if so, then a very large, very nice holding pond). Landscaping, stone and picnick tables.

- Between Verdae and 85 on the Roper Mountain end, major clearing, a construction entrance, etc. This may be the retirement community.

- Between Verdae and Woodruff / Haywood....multiple parts....the park, housing, the outline of numerous roads.

Just a hunch, and I think somebody else said this.....Verdae will build out much faster than planned. :thumbsup:
