Thanks for comments, Gang!

Stunning beauty!

The whole town looks like a postcard.

However, I don't find those "philly rowhomes" very philly at all.

The reason why I referred to them as Philly-style is because while I was taking some pics, a woman came out and told me that it was a railroad magnate from Philadelphia who built this single block of rowhomes. Here's a pic from another angle -

Does San Diego have any grit? It all seems a little polished. Nice job though!

I wouldn't call it true grit. There are no abandoned areas or any decaying parts in the city. A section of downtown has homeless people sleeping in the streets, but those areas are quickly gentrifying. A friend who was urban artist, moved here from Buffalo and was so amazed that there was no grafitti to be found throughout the city, and he lived in a loft right downtown. I'd describe San Diego as neat and tidy, which to some, isn't a good thing.

I absolutely love the signage!!
I like them, too!! Some of those signs were first lit up in 1940, and span the "Main Street" areas of the older neighborhoods.

Great pictures of a great city. I briefly stopped in San Diego about 2 weeks ago on my way to Tijuana.

Ok, be honest, wasn't Tijuana a dump?

Wow i never knew San Diego was so beatiful.

Shhhhh.....don't tell anyone, it's suppose to be a secret ;)

^^The Sheraton San Diego is next to the airport, which if you didn't already know, is right next to downtown. Being a Sheraton, I think the hotel is still in pretty good shape. There's a 2 mile walking/biking path from the hotel that leads directly to downtown.

Here's a bad pic of the hotel that I found on Google, but it gives you an idea of the location -
