has the final tally of murders come in yet for detroit. how does the city rank nationally, is it still number 2 in the nation.

There was an article in the Detroit Free Press recently about this, in 2005 there was around 374 murders, I might be a little off though but one thing I am positive that the article said is that 225 of the murders haven't been solved yet.

the reason i said number two was because i had heard that detroit was second to camden, new jersey. thanks for clearing that up for me. appreciate it very much.

It is #2 when you take cities over a certain population size. I think that's what he meant.

Hell, it's #1 if you take cities over a certain population... I think he was referring to Morgan Quinto's list of the Most Dangerous Cities.
