I found this while looking through the local paper the other day. it seems that every year, the American Dialect Society selects a word (usually slang or in the vernacular, as opposed to what Webster's would use) that best sums up the year.

No doubt due to President Bush. He hasn't said one thing that has turned out to be true since he has been in office, but in 2005 he reached new levels of absurdity in his "truthiness".

What a ridiculous thing to say. Bush has been elected twice now; granted the first time was questionable, but the second time was legit. Tell us, please, what you did with yourself to mobilize the vote for an alternative candidate? You sound vastly undereducated.
