Hey can anyone help me out with this? How does MTA do comparitive with other cities. and is rta and mta one or are they seperate? Will the star help out in the long run?

MTA falls short when lined-up next to cities of comparable size. They even say so up front in their 5-year Improvement plan (http://www.nashvillemta.org/five_year/OPSPLAN2.pdf). They're making strides, though -- route improvements, new buses, employee partner programs (like the one with Vandy) have been moves in the right direction. As for the RTA & MTA relationship -- all i know is that they coordinate the R&R buses. i think they're separate from the mta, though.
