It is primer. The same primer they used on the rest of the building.

I think I'll take a wait and see approach. It's definitely unusual, but I have seen some pretty clever paint schemes that make a boring building pop. I don't know if this is it, but it makes it exciting to watch!

I guess I just don't see where this building is such a pig. I mean, it's not anything to write home about but I'd take 3 50 Monroe's for every GR Press-like Building we have. I see much "higher profile" targets than poor 'ole 50 Monroe.

I always liked looking down Monroe and seeing 50 Monroe kind of peek out from the canyon. I'm actually a tad worried now that the black paint will make it "blend in" too much.
