Neat. I'm rather surprised to hear that downtown Waynesville only recently got its historic district designation.

Growing up, I had some friends who lived in Waynesville. Sometimes we would bike downtown and kill time there. I remember going to Mast General Store and a comic book / trading card shop, which were my favorites. I also think there was a candy store dowm there, too, and a number of restaurants.

I remember killing several summer afternoons like that in Waynesville when I was 12 or 13, and I never really got bored of it. Small town living at its finest!
