The City's Calhoun Street rehab between the Sterling Community Center and the Swamprabbit have been underway for a couple weeks now.  The sidewalks between Academy and the trail were in horrible shape, this will be a nice improvement.

City Council tabled the QT rezoning at last Monday's meeting.  A revised design will go before Council in February.

According to the DRB application-  the Homewood Suites developer has the Saint Andrews parking lot under contract.

And the two storefronts to the right of the Custom House are proposed to be demolished and be replaced by two storefronts and a residential unit above.

Was wondering if the folks at the fieldhouse was gonna give up those spaces easily. But I guess money talks. Besides it just makes sense for them to buy it .

The Fieldhouse won't lose parking.

I think JHM bought that site for a future hotel.

Recently? Last time I was down there the NAI sign was still up if i remember correctly.

JHM owns the land BEHIND the ones fronting on Main. That hotel will front on Rhett from Wardlaw to Oneal.   A third party owns the vacant land facing Main in that block.

Vicupstate some of the folks from the field house do use that lot. But if you want to get technical, the church may own it.

St Andrews does own the lot.  I assume they had some type of lease with the Fieldhouse.   

It makes a lot of sense to me.  I'm sure the church got a good price for the lot.  Also they may have gotten an arrangement for church goers to use hotel parking to make up for the lost spaces.

Staff recommended denial, so it will likely need to be reworked.

I like all of the retail space proposed for the ground floor.
