Just stumbled across this.  A proposed 33 story building at Falls and River St by Hughes Investments.

SGA was tasked with providing the schematic architectural design for a 33-story mixed-use high rise, located at a strategic intersection in Greenville, SC. The structure features a grocery store, parking garage, and apartments of varying sizes and price points. The uppermost roof serves as a heli-port, while a lower roof includes a rooftop pool. The building, when built, will be the tallest building in South Carolina.

That’s awesome. I’m not worried about the height because it doesn’t sit in Main. Being a block away, I think it’s fine. Excited about some height (finally).

I would guess after the Tower at Falls and Broad, The Pinnacle, and the Gateway Tower all are complete.:D

Can’t forget about the Camperdown condos (not the current project), Peacock hotel, and Rivers Edge hotel.

Oh and the white truck is parked on site. ;)

I love it! Oh and Bob Ellis second tower. Man we'd have a little height if some of those had worked out. Still hoping on the Gateway and Federal Courthouse.

Too bad it will never happen; DRB will drop it like a bad habit. They will say it won't fit in with the neighborhood, and should be a huge footprint, no higher than six floors, and should be a modern box. :silly:

Looks awesome though!!!

Maybe it's a negotiation tactic. DRB wants short & stubby, so they propose tall & slender, all so they can build something on the scale of Poinsett Plaza. Or shorter.

Not holding my breath.

Wrong one. He is clutch here when it comes to development. I've been to meetings where he's announced projects. As a matter of fact, right next to where this will be built. Just has to get by DRB. But he has a pretty big influence with them.

This would be awesome, but I'm totally a doubter on this one. A high rise in Greenville is as improbable as Gamecock football winning a Natty! I'd love for either to happen but reality gets in the way...

BTW; a heliport? What for? Why would a helicopter ever land there? How about that rotating restaurant idea?

Anybody got a link to the article or source of this pic?
