The West End

GAIA is an awsome artist, if you remember a few years about some street art that popped up around town, prints of heads with birds in the hair pasted to buildings in the West End and West Greenville? That was him. I am really excited to see what he would do with the mural as I am a big fan.

DRB is recommending approval of this.

I don't like what they are trying to do here. Now if they were doing this a block or two on either side of Main Street, that would be fine. But not there.

My thing is, some developers come in and don't see the bigger picture of things. They would rather put up anything, just so they collect the dough, and leave. Then in a decade or so someone comes in behind them. Tearing there mistakes down. Doing what should have been done right the first time. Reminds me of big box mistakes.

That is the Greenlink property for sure.  What did the tweet say?

The image appears to be a garage on the lower level with some retail.  Offices on higher floors.

Is this what Gman430 hinted at, regarding a long-vacant property?

Its an Entrepreneurship building. You can have an office for your startup business and an apartment to live in within the same building.

I believe the lower "cement" portion is for offices, while the "wood" portion is for apartments.
