Who, in Greenville, could possibly need a helipad above their apartment? Does Hughes have his own helicopter? Why would he fly it to this building? Even if it's his appt, why would a developer from Greenville SC park a helicopter above it? Does Atlanta have anything like that? Nothing about the helipad part makes any sense. 

It's not April first but I'm feeling some tugs on my leg here. Calling BS until there's way more verifiable evidence.

Not sure about Atlanta. I believe Miami does though. Our little ole Greenville is growing up. :cry:

Not a done deal but not dead either. Basically still in the study phase. From GVL Today: 

Hughes Investments
The real estate developer (Hughes Investments) let us know that the 33-story downtown high-rise design we featured in a News Note yesterday is still fully conceptual. 

“Hughes Investments has never failed to construct what we have announced. We will only announce projects that we are fully committed to completing, not studies that are still under consideration. We appreciate when quality architects present us with interesting and exciting concepts such as this – these are compelling surveys of what could happen,” they said.

It also concludes by saying," while we might not see the highest building in SC downtown any time soon..."

Then goes into developments we will see in 2019.

So yep, purely conceptual. No current intent or active plan...pipedream.

Too bad! Something like that would be awesome.

That’s only what GVL Today thinks. Hughes was never quoted as saying that.
