Anyone going to the Cazbah winefest tonight?

Yep. Heading out as soon as I post a few pics. McBee at Main was closed mid day today, and they were setting up the tables in the street. This is going to be a great event!!

Another great event, and for a good cause. The Blood Connection blood "Drive" at West End Field. Don't you all just love the way The Drive has involved itself in the community!!!!!!

I did not, but apaarently it is hands-down the largest single-day charity golf event in the nation. The tent used for the end-of-the-day festivities and dinner is well over 100 yards! This year, the 1,500 golfers raised $5.5 million for local charities. Not bad for one day of work (play).

What: Ritmo Tropical Festival ("Rhythm of the Tropics"), a Latin-themed festival

Where: Falls Park on the Reedy

When: Saturday, June 24 - 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Cost: Free

Last year's inaugural Ritmo Tropical Festival drew an estimated 3,000 people. It celebrates Latin culture, but without excluding non-Latinos. Last year, there was supposedly a wonderful mix of ethnicities and backgrounds. Here is an article in Upstate Link with more details:
