Anyone going to the Cazbah winefest tonight?

Yep. Heading out as soon as I post a few pics. McBee at Main was closed mid day today, and they were setting up the tables in the street. This is going to be a great event!!

Another great event, and for a good cause. The Blood Connection blood "Drive" at West End Field. Don't you all just love the way The Drive has involved itself in the community!!!!!!

I did not, but apaarently it is hands-down the largest single-day charity golf event in the nation. The tent used for the end-of-the-day festivities and dinner is well over 100 yards! This year, the 1,500 golfers raised $5.5 million for local charities. Not bad for one day of work (play).

^ I saw a news story about the event on WYFF. Didn't realize it was so large. It was played on 12 different golf courses around the area. The 5.5 million raised for charity was a record number!

Last year's inaugural Ritmo Tropical Festival drew an estimated 3,000 people. It celebrates Latin culture, but without excluding non-Latinos. Last year, there was supposedly a wonderful mix of ethnicities and backgrounds. Here is an article in Upstate Link with more details:

If you're going to be near the Peace Center today from 11am to 12pm (i.e. noon), stop in for some free ice cream from the Mayfield Dairy. This always a cool event. :shades:

There is a Colombian Latin Festival happening on Sunday in downtown. More indication/proof that Greenville is very internationally diverse. :shades:
