31-26, LSU wins.

That was just an amazing game in just about every way. And with that win, the Tigers finish the regular season 10-2 for the second year in a row, and improve their chances of getting into a BCS bowl. Either way, you can count on LSU being in a very big bowl at the end of the year, BCS or not.

That was one of the most entertaining and explosive games I have ever seen!!! Thanks for the thrills LSU and Arkansas! The smallest player on the field Trindon Holliday used his 4.27 speed to shock the hostile crowd with his electrifying 92 yard KO return.

All of LSU's tough road games helped prepare them for the battle!

All of LSU's road games were against teams ranked in the Top 8!

McFadden should be at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Can't wait to see him in the NFL. Arkansas should have used him on that 4th & 3. Felix Jones is also very impressive. There was alot of future NFL talent on both sides!

Houston Nutt's lifetime record in Little Rock is 20-2; BOTH losses are to LSU! LSU found a way despite injuries to their two leading tacklers(Beckwith) playing way less than 100% and losing (Highsmith) in the 2nd qtr.

I hope LSU plays USC in a BCS Bowl! This next 5 to 6 weeks should be enough time get all them Tigers healthy!!!

Wow, what a great game! South Florida upset #7 West Virginia 24-19! West Virginia was a 20 point favorite going into the game, and South Florida pulled off the huge upset. That's very good news for LSU, as their changes of getting into a BCS bowl just increased dramatically.

That's great news! But does a Big East team get an automatic BCS Bowl??

Yes, the Big East champion gets an automatic BCS bid. However, the competition was with West Virginia over an at-large bid, because LSU can't win the SEC, and it didn't look like West Virginia could win the Big East. Now, however, West Virginia is completely gone from the BCS bowl picture, which is fantastic for LSU.

Thanks for clearing that up Nate. That's what I was thinking, though The Big East is much improved; but it was hard to imagine them getting 2 teams into the BCS.

The Big 10 needs a Conference Championship with Ohio State/Michigan rematch. The PAC 10 needs a CCG too. Wouldn't that be nice for USC to have to play an extra game! The SEC and Big12 are at a BIG disadvantage when it comes down to the Title hunt!!! Playing a "Extra" game. All Conferences should play CCG or NONE of the Conferences should!!!

Go Nevada over Boise State. That would help LSU too. Some sources have Boise in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Big 12 Champ.

LSU's D was exposed vs. Arkansas; but part of that was bec. both leading tackler's LB'ers Beckwith-sprained knee(no where near 100%) and Highsmith(Out most of game) w/ankle were not out there making a difference. Credit to the Hawg's...McFadden and Jones are future NFL'ers.

Both Beckwith, Highsmith, and SS-Jesse Daniels will have 5 to 6 weeks to heal-up to get ready for the BOWL game. They will need them badly.

Nate, Who would you like to see LSU play in a Bowl game??

If LSU makes it into a BCS bowl, I would love to finally see a matchup with USC, like we've all wanted for a few years now. I think a Michigan matchup would be interesting too, along with Notre Dame.

If LSU doesn't make it into a BCS bowl, I'd just like to see them up against the other top team in the nation outside of the BCS, whoever that may be.

Well, USC just about destroyed Notre Dame tonight. 44-24 was the final.

And so, the final BCS team results board looks like this:

BCS rankings going into this week:

1. Ohio State

2. Michigan

3. USC

4. Florida

5. Notre Dame

6. Arkansas

7. West Virginia

8. Wisconsin

9. Louisville

10. LSU

green- won

red-lost

gold- season over

Was that hail-mary sweet or what ?

How about Horn's one hand snag ?? That 76 yard TD to Henderson was perfect !!! How about Henderson's amazing grab too ??

I wanted to personally thank Nick Saban, not only for the BCS National Title for LSU...BUT for passing on Drew Brees with the Dolphins. He's just what the Saints needed!!! Over 200 yards passing today in the 1st half and leading reciever Marquis Colston is not even playing!!!

Big division win for the Saints today, beating the Atlanta Falcons 31-13 in the Georgia Dome. Another huge game from Drew Brees, who has now thrown for over 300 yards in 5 straight games, a new franchise record. Deuce McAllister had a nice day, with multiple big runs and 2 TD's. Devery Handerson cuahgt a few very big catches, and finished with over 150 yards recieving and 1 touchdown. He stepped up big to replace Colston who was out with an ankle sprain. Not a big day for Joe Horn, but like he always does, he stepped up and made some huge catches when they were needed most. Good 'ole Joe! :D
