Thanks ironchapman  I'm getting stoked about the game! It should be a WAR!!! Ohio State has a chip on it's shoulder from last year's beatdown from Florida. I expect a closer game for sure this year. LSU needs to bring their "A" game. They should be 100%?healthy(Dorsey, Doucet, Flynn, etc).

What did you think about my comment concerning USC playing Georgia instead of Illinios in the Rose; or better yet have USC travel down to NOLA to play in the Sugar?? That would have been a much better game!

There must be a way to have a playoff while keeping the bowls in-tact with some sort of rotation.

I think a USC vs. UGA game would have been quite possibly the best combination of teams the BCS could have put together this year--even if it wasn't for the National Championship. I'm not sure who would win (I hope it would be UGA), but it would certainly be a great game to watch--especially after all of the let downs we've had in the BCS this year.

It would have been nice to see USC come to NOLA for the Sugar Bowl, but as a UGA fan, I would have liked to see Georgia go to the Rose Bowl for the first time since the 1940's. Any BCS bowl would be nice, though.

Anyways, I'm pretty psyched about the National Title game. I'm rooting for you guys. My high school's colors were purple, white, and gold, so I'll be sure to wear some of it for you guys! With few exceptions, I almost always root for the SEC teams in any bowl games--it's a Southern thing.

Thanks again ironchapman! I appreciate that! I go for the SEC Teams too; so far 6-2 in Bowl Games!

I'm getting hyped up as we speak! I'm going with LSU in a score of something like 24-20/27-23. I hope all of the Tigers are "Healthy" and ready to go!

Please to be offended in my reply today to lowerdeck's post in the NCAA Football thread! Bottom line is their needs to be a 8 team playoff!!!

^^I think Glenn Dorsey will be drafted by the Miami Dolphins.

Personally, I think my Falcons should take a look at Jacob Hester as a draft pick.

As for the team itself, I think these past few years could be called the "Golden Age" of LSU football. Any thoughts from our Louisiana friends?

Thank yall so, so much for that!!! WOW!!! What a night!!! LSU took the Buckeyes best shot down 10-0 in 1st qtr. But the Tigers were battle-tested in the rugged SEC Conference thru-out is season! The SEC also solidified it's status as TOP Conference with a 7-2 bowl record!!! I am so happy for the Seniors!! I am going to miss this special class Dorsey, Flynn, Hester, Doucet, Highsmith, Steltz(sorry he got hurt tonight), Chevis Jackson, etc. Class acts; not thugs.

It was Good to see the Tigers healthy, fresh and ready to go!

Yes it has ironchapman! This is the Golden Age of LSU Football! 11+ Wins 3 straight seasons is only duplicated in the SEC by Alabama way back! And a record of 34-6!

CRAZIEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON EVER!!!

Thank you again Georgia for knocking Hawaii back to reality with their 41-10 smackdown!

YES INDEED Nate!!! How sweet it is! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Thanks for the pic! Matt Flynn waited 5 years for this; well worth it; so proud of him!!

First of all....WOOHOOOOO!!!! :yahoo: Geaux Tigers!!!! :yahoo:

Second, check out this garbage from Steve Greenberg, another Sporting News writer.....

Take it to the bank, Part Deux. I've been giving the BCS title game a lot of thought. And here's what I've been thinking: USC or Georgia would beat LSU or Ohio State.

Here's what else I've been thinking: Todd Boeckman is a better quarterback than Matt Flynn or Ryan Perrilloux. That's because he can stay with me here stand in the pocket and throw the darn football like a real quarterback.

Everybody's missing the boat on Boeckman. He's going to stand in the pocket and deliver. I don't know if he'll do enough to win the game for the Buckeyes, but he'll come out of the title game smelling like a winner. Oh, what the hell: Buckeyes 24, Tigers 20.

It was at the end of his column about Tony Romo....The week that will be: 'Boys being boys

A couple of shots from the Hornets game last night. The Hornets smashed the Heat 114-88 in front of a very energetic croud of 16,133 at the New Orleans Arena. These were taken with my cell phone, so excuse the crappy quality. ;) Also, these were taken at halftime, so don't let the empty seats fool you.

Nice photo Nate, thanks for sharing that! The Hornets are looking good this year! The Western Conference sure is tough! What's up with the hapless Heat?? The Arena looks like a great venue!

A few post above; Nate(NCB) posted a pic w/ Offensive MVP QB-Matt Flynn with the crystal-ball trophy. So happy for him waiting all those years behind Russell. He deserved it!

Here is a pic of the Defensive MVP D-Lineman Rickey Jean Francios! This dude is a beast, he throws the shot-put in Track & Field!!! He missed the entire regular season due to academic probation. He finally played in the SEC Championship Game vs. Tennessee and made a "Big" difference filing in for the injured Glen Dorsey.

So actually the Ohio State Championship Game was the 1st game "BOTH" played at the same time! You could see the difference the way they blew-up some of those short yardage plays! It makes me wonder if LSU might have gone undeafted with him & 100% healthy Dorsey in the line-up the entire season??

Right you are, Richy! Quoting the TBS and TNT commercials, "NBA All-Star weekend has invaded the Big Easy!"

Last night, man, I don't know if I've ever seen New Orleans look as good as they did in the aerials shown on TNT. They showed tons of crystal-clear CBD aerials and they were all spectacular. And the TNT crew was above Bourbon Street at Johnny White's at the corner of Orleans, less than half a block from my old house in the Quarter. BTW, the hotel with the massive Chuck/Dwayne Wade you're talking about is the W, which is at the corner of Poydras and S. Peter, across from Harrah's Casino. There's also a massive All-Star game ad draped over the side of the Dominion Tower, across from the Dome, which is really cool.

And apart from all of that, the number of celebrities in town, and parties that will be going on, is unbelievable. From parties hosted by Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Shaq, and P-Diddy, to parties hosted by the average guy down the block. And as for the celebrities, it took a local radio station a full minute to run down the list of celebrities that are in town this weekend. Star watching isn't exactly my thing, but if you're into that sort of stuff, NOLA is the place to be this weekend!

The TNT guys; Magic Johnson, Kenny "the Jet" Smith, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson, are live right now from Johnny White's on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Bourbon is rocking and there will be plenty of New Orleans related segments on the show, which will be on till 6:00. At 8:00, the All-Star Saturday night from the New Orleans Arena will start.

Looks like the NBA & New Orleans sure know how to throw a party! The halftime music was nice! The game was entertaining and as close a game as I can remember! There were some creative dunks in last night's Dunk Contest. The 3 pt. shooting was off the charts. Enjoyed watching some of the Rookie/Soph. game too.

This was a nice gesture from the NBA for NOLA to be hosting the All-Star Weekend! I hope the Hornets will stick around?? The crowds are not even reaching Shinn's modest goals; despite the Hornets being on top the Western Conference.
