How bout dem SAINTS??? 3-0....Look as impressive as any team in the NFL...the offense was lethal the first two games...45-27 over the Lions & 48-22 dismantling of the Eagles!! Today the defense stepped up taking care of the Bills 27-7!

Good game next week...3-0 Saints vs 3-0 NY Jets

After the unimpressive 30-26 win over Miss St.....LSU has jumped up all the way to #4 in the latest Polls...we get to see how they are vs #14 Georgia next Saturday up in Athens.

WHO DAT?? Saints with an impressive 38-17 Win over Patriots tonight!! :tough: Improving to a 11-0 record for the season! The surgeon Drew Brees was disgusting dissecting the opponet for 5 TD's(5 different recievers) 371 yards on 18-23 completions!!

LSU Won an OT thriller vs Arkansas 33-30.(incredibly close over the years) to help for a painful blundering loss the week before vs Ole Miss 25-23...the Tigers finish the regular season 9-3 an looking possibly at the CapOne Bowl Jan. 1st in Orlando...

Grambling took care of business in the Bayou Classic handling Southern U. 31-13...

WHO DAT!!! The Saints moved one step closer to the Super Bowl after blasting the Cardinals 45-14 last week!! Nice to see Reggie Bush on a mission! If he continues to do that...they will be hard to beat! Good to see the defense get there healthy players back(CB's Greer & Porter 1st game together since Game 8) The rest from the bye week seemed to do them good & the Vikings who crushed the Cowboys 34-3....

The Saints & Vikes have been on a collision course since the middle of the season as the TWO BEST NFC Teams...tommorrow should be an ""Epic Clash""!! How can you count out a team led by Drew Brees or Bret Favre...Jeremy Shockey should play but won't be 100%..the Saints prolific Offense is not the same w/o him!! But Viking WR-Percy Harvin may not make the trip...they will have to adjust w/o him....how much pressure can the D-Lines get on the QB?? Who's O-Line will step it up??

This state produces some serious talent for it's size!

The football state....Louisiana leads in per capita production of NFL players.

There were 68 players from Louisiana on opening weekend NFL rosters, or one per 65,720 residents of the state, according to a report from USA Football. New Orleans was tied with Detroit for producing the fourthlargest amount of pro football players. Fifteen players on opening weekend rosters were from the Crescent City; only Houston (24), Miami (22) and Los Angeles (20) had more hometown products. USA Football is the governing body of youth and amateur football leagues.

Stoked about #11(10-2)LSU Tigers vs #17(9-3) Texas A&M - COTTON BOWL tonight in the $billion dollar Cowboy Stadium! Should be interesting!

And tommorrow's NFC wild-card game...with the "banged-up " 11-5 Saints vs the 7-9 Seahawks...who won the weak West...it won't be as easy this go around...hopefully the Who Dat's can overcome the injuries!

Now that they know how to play LA lets hope they can give them a run for their money this round. I expected Kobe to wipe the court clean but CP3 held down the Easy! BEEFENSE!!

A Solid September showing so far for the LSU Tigers....Opened the season ranked #4 beating the 3rd ranked Oregon Ducks 40-27 in Dallas....got a breather in a 49-3 victory over NW La.....and a Thursday Night SEC road game in StarkVegas; CowBells & all vs #25 Miss State Bulldogs winning 19-6...

Tonight they face the #16th ranked West Virginia Montaineers up in the misty mountains of MorganTown....now ranked 2 & 3 in the Polls LSU has arguably had the nations toughest schedule!

The New Orleans Saints were outscored their NFL Season opener on the road vs the defending Super Bowl Champ Green Bay Packers 42-34...came back last week with an impressive outing in the Dome beating the Chicago Bears 30-13!

Now 1-1...the Saints will face the 2-0 Houston Texans in the Dome tommorrow sporting the throwback uniforms; mustard-colored pants and all!!

How bout that Epic #1 vs #2 Showdown last week?? LSU hard fought victory over Bama 9-6 in OT!! LSU now in the driver-seat with a 9-0 record! Get a non-conference breather tonight vs Western Kentucky. LSU had some nice brutal beatdowns in October...35-7 over Kentucky; 41-11 Florida; 38-7 Tennessee...& 45-10 over defending National Champion Auburn!!

Big game for 1st place in the NFC South between the 6-3 Saints vs. the 5-3 Falcons...good to see the Saints get revenge on the Bucs last week 27-16; should have been 31-16 on the worst holding call I have seen in a long time...it's been a roller coaster ride with a record breaking 62-7 thrashing of the Colts; then lose to the lowly Rams...

Nothing like having your own personal Sports thread

The Final Four ready to roll! :shades:

Saturday March 31st....The Bluegrass State flexing it's muscles :tough: :tough:

Kentucky (36-2) vs Louisville (30-9) 5 p.m.

Ohio State (31-7) vs Kansas (31-6) 7:30 p.m.

nolalogo.jpg

The Kentucky fans travel more than any college basketball team I have ever seen...seemed like they accounted for 80% of the fans in the SEC Tournament in NOLA just a few weeks ago...they planned on coming back...nice economic boost for the Crescent City!

Sorry the logo came out so BIG! LOL

Houston did fantastic w/ record breaking crowds...but NOLA has a better set-up with everything within walking distance; which was not the case at Reliant Stadium.

Good news that Tom Benson bought the Hornets Franchise; keeping the NBA in NOLA....now he wants to change the name...rumor has it Utah refuses to give the Jazz name back when the team moved there back in 79' ...eventhough Utah is the "Beehive State" and Hornets might fit?? Many would love to see them trade names...

Other names like the Funk, Krewe, Brass, Bounce have been mentioned as name replacements...

What do yall think might sound good?? Or should they just keep Hornets?
