Anyone have pictures? I saw one somewhere and it looked really nice. This will be a great way to promote future development for the building.

Was it on my Flickr? The "T" for "DETROIT" is all that was in place as of this afternoon.

They've been polishing all the brass on the exterior of the Park & Woodward sides.

The Washington Boulevard side still gets the deluxe plywood treatment, I guess. They haven't done any work over there.

I found the picture...are those shutters? It should realy grab attention, especially from across the street where you'll be able to see the entire "Detroit" at once.

They are window shutters.

I believe this particular display is being done by architecture students from UDM.

So...each window is going to have a letter that spells out "DETROIT"?

Never. The building is going to sit and rot until it has serious structural problems that will force it to be torn down.

Seriously though, last weekend a friend was telling me that something was going to happen with the Whitney Building soon. He was going to make a few calls & let me know what he found out, but he never got back to me. I'll shoot him an email this morning to see what he says.
