Uh... uh... insulting? No. Just saying that you're a refreshing ray of sunshine. Uh... yeah... that's what I was doing... SIR!! :)

Insulting a moderator, and then lying to a moderator? Ouch. Looks like a 50 day now.

Well, I'll tell ya, you're lucky I'm tired and getting ready to hit the sack. Otherwise we'd have some trouble abreu! :P

And yes, that's right, I'm actually going to bed now, and it's not even 11 o' clock! :shok:

How weird, I was actually considering going to bed now too. Very out of character for both of us I'd say.

Later, man... maybe we can discuss more of this "New Orleans Development" soon!

Boomtown Casino on the Westbank will be building a 200 room hotel and expanding other amenities.

Cheers,

Derek

Also I had a chance to walk through and see the ongoing work in the Saks Fifth Avenue. All I can say is , WOW! Totally going to kick ass when it opens. It certainly has some 60's look to it.

Hey Derek... not being from the New Orleans area, I'm wondering... where's the Sak's Fifth Avenue you're mentioning?

Here's a picture of the building just for reference, it's part of The Shops at Canal Place, but has its own seperate building in the Canal Place complex.

:D Before my computer crashed, I had a photo of everything from New Orleans. Seriously, and I'd only had a camera for 6 months. It seemed like a I had a photo of pointless things that ended up coming in handy here on UP everywhere on my computer. I'm lucky I found that one on my photobucket.

That really sucks. Did you ever figure out at least what caused it? I know that doesn't bring back your photos, but it would help you to understand for future reference.

I still have no idea. My computer was untouched for 11 days, and when I got back and turned it on, it told me that my startup file was corrupt or missing. I don't know what could have caused that at all.

Are you backing up now? Ever since this happened to you, I've been considering backing up everything on mine.

I'm still trying to figure out the best thing to do, actually. I'm trying to retrive old pictures off of my photobucket and imageshack and save them in files right now. I don't have an extra seperate hard drive, so is saving my images to CD's really my only option?

Either that or get a jump drive with a couple of gigs. I just got a jump drive (or flash drive) off Dell.com with 1 gig and it was only about $47 with next-day shipping. A decent jump drive can be extremely cheap and can be carried around on your keychain with ease (that's where I keep mine.) Just a thought!

I've decided that, from here on out, whenever I visit a city and take tons of photographs, I'm going to burn a CD for every city. I will arrange the photos into dated folders, and I will add photos of that city to its CD until such a time that I fill it up. I will write the city name on the CD and then I will take a CD wallet and keep all the CDs in there as a photo album full of CDs... thousands upon thousands of photos on one small album.
