Kohl's on its way to Myrtle Beach

Kohl's is moving into the Grand Strand having announced plans for their first Myrtle Beach area store at South Strand Commons.

I have only been inside a Kohl's once and was slightly pleased. They had clothes I like to buy in traditional mall department stores like Belk or JCPenney. Their prices seem lower and their location in freestanding areas makes it easier to get in and out.

I love Kohl's. I think we have about 15 or so in the Dallas area now. They really took off here about 3-4 years ago, and other stores are now adapting to the (not new!) concept of a free-standing store with great sales and one central checkout area...this makes it kinda like K-Mart meets Belk, I guess. I'm sure the store will do very well in MB.
