Is our Nations Capital yankee or dixie

Just wanted to hear all yall's opinion (I'm southern if you couldn't tell)

I couldn't really care nowadays. When it was laid out, it was considered to be in the South, but it's now more of a mix of the two as opposed to being just yankee or dixie. It's considered to be more mid-Atlantic (which is a mix of the two cultures) as oppposed to being solely yankee or dixie, and I think I like it that way.
