Basically, the two "secondary" broadcast networks, The WB and UPN will cease operations of their current networks and then merge to form a new network called the CW. ('C'BS 'W'arner Brothers).... CBS will own 50%, Tribune and Time Waner (which joinly own The WB) will own the other 50%.

What are your thoughts on this?

I wonder what will happen to the schedules of the networks?

It sounds like a good idea to decrease the competiton on the market. I wonder how it will fly?

Remember when UPN used to be more like BET? What happened in the past year or so, that caused such a shift in programming?

Nobody was watching. UPN hitched its horse to Star Trek, and when they finally burned out that franchise, it burned out too.

Sounds kind of confusing. Did anybody really watch those networks anyway?

I watch them every once in awhile. I have a feeling that this new network won't be much of a success, the two networks have some quite different programming.
