Bush cuts rich in, leaves rest out

Personally, I think the best tax cut plan I'd ever seen was the tax cuts on business investment in IT leading up to 2000. This would be a wildly unpopular tax cut, since it's benefits business, not individuals directly. However, indirectly, the volume of equipment purchased, and jobs created was amazing. It probably brought so much additional revenue into the government, they didn't even notice the tax cut.

But that's really the way to spur job growth through tax cuts. And no BS retail and service jobs, but high paying skill positions.

Bush's tax policy is really outragous. Remember Bush senior and the tax break he wanted for capital gains, a tax only the wealthiest investors pay very often. The richest group in the US, trust funders, only pay this tax since they make no wages and so pay no income tax.
