Galveston, Texas

although it has a pretty bad image Galveston is definately a treasure. for those who have never been, it is about 45 minutes from downtown Houston and is on a barrier island between the gulf of mexico and galveston bay.

not bad density for a city of about 56,000

If not for the big hurricane of 1900 Galveston was on its way to being the port city that Houston is today.
