Thanks, yeah here are a couple more and a re-edit of the condo shot. I took a bunch of photos but after looking at them the next day they weren't the great art that I thought I was creating the night before. ;) Edited with Adobe Lightroom. Too bad it's only a beta and once the final version is released they'll probably charge 600 bucks for it.

Campbell Ave looking east.

Color corrected version of the condos plus took out the distraction in the upper right corner.

Jefferson St looking south.

Full moon and corner of some building. I forget it's name but it's being converted to condos also.

That is the Hotel Roanoke. You can't tell from the picture but it is downtown accross the rail yard from the Wachovia Tower. A pedestrian bridge connects it with the market area. First class hotel and convention center. A real gem for us. Here is their website.

I'm going to try to post the panoramic photo I took of downtown from the 2nd street bridge. It is actually several overlapping shots.

Unfortunately, some of Roanoke's most prominent buildings, such as the NS building (well lit at the top just to the left of the black blg with verticle white strips) and the Poff Federal building (far right) are barely visible from this angle. But I think its a completely different looking skyline from this angle, compared to the typical Mill Mtn View.

I just discovered these forums, so in my first post, I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has posted photos here. There's some really nice work, and it's been great to see so many aspects of Roanoke.

I currently live on the coast, but I'm gettting married in Roanoke in two months, and we're planning to move there as soon as our job prospects pan out. I've been to Roanoke several times in the past two years, but these photos have provided some really cool insight. Thanks again!
