city-metro area boundry maps

I'm a urban planning student looking for web sites that map the city boundries vs metro area for major urban areas of the world. I've searched loads of sites but SHFWILF(still haven't found what I'm looking for..) I would appreciate any pointers, thanks.

If you're an urban planning student - someone should set you up with GIS. Ask someone - then you can make the maps yourself. Otherwise - you will never have the map you really wanted, but you could check out the Census Bureau. They at least have maps of all Urban Areas & may have maps of MSA or CSA.

You can use American Factfinder at the Census Bureau website, but they use the old definitions of MSAs.
