Park Lane Place will be a mixed-use project built at the intersection of North Central Expressway and NorthPark Blvd., across the expressway from NorthPark Mall. The development will contain apartments, condominiums, retail space, office space, and a hotel, When completely built out the 34-acre site will be occupied by a total of 1.9 million sf of building space. Park Lane Place will also have a pedestrian link to the Park Lane DART light rail station.

The first phase will include 550,000 square feet of shopping, 315 apartments, a 65,000-square-foot health club, a 201-room hotel and 50 high-rise condominiums.

The new buildings will line a boulevard that will be constructed from Blackwell Street north to Park Lane.

Two mirrored-glass office towers at the north end of the 33-acre site will remain in the development, along with Culinary Art Institute that occupies its own building.

Whole Foods recently announced that it will build a flagship store at Park Lane Place. The store will be 80,000 sf in size and should be opened in early 2007.

Groundbreaking took place yesterday on Park Lane Place, a $500 million project near NorthPark Mall.

It will include a Whole Foods Market, a Valencia Hotel operated by Houston-based Valencia Group and The Sports Club/LA, a country club that will include a sports and fitness center, spa and salon.

The project will have two condominium towers containing 50-70 units built above the hotel and two apartment towers containing 325 units above retail. Work should be completed on Park Lane Place in the summer 2008.

There are more tenants being added to the list for Park Lane Place. An upscale bowling alley called Splitsville is in the works and will have 16 lanes as well as a resaurant and lounge. http://www.splitsvillelanes.com/

It has been announced that a store called Nordstrom Rack will be opening a location at Park Lane Place. The 35,000 sf store will open in 2008.

Nordstrom Rack stores carry items from Nordstrom's full-line stores and online operation at 30 percent to 75 percent off.
