Pictures of Savannah

I was in Savannah for a conference, and when I had some time to myself, I went around taking as many pictures as I could. Sadly, my photos are limited to a portion of the historic district close to the riverfront; but I hope they're still enjoyable.

During the day...

This is the conference center side of the river.

Then I got on a ferry to head over to historic Savannah.

These next few shots are from Savannah's River Street.

I think Savannah's City Hall is extremely impressive.

I had to lay down in the road to get this next shot.

I love how the trees add to the architecture in Savannah.

I really enjoy the stonework on this building. Would it be... corinthian? I'm not really sure.

And then at night...

This next one is the Bank of America.

I really love this building. It's on River Street.

Great pics! I'm not sure I've seen such a city that photographs so consistently well. Even just random shots of say....a door and a sidewalk look gorgeous. Luckily, I'll be going there in a month to check out a school. I'm getting really excited for the trip.

Savannah is really one of the neatest cities in America. I like how they have restored much of their downtown and the college's (SCAD) involvement as well.
