Ok maybe I missed something, but I thought I knew 99.9999999% of everything there was to know about this area. Ah hubris is such a cruel lover :P, then again this might be the best example of useless and trivial information EVER.

I'm surfing around Wikipedia on the CMU page and what do I see, the QVC, HSN and infomercial king (and GEICO auto insurance star) Esteban is 100% yinzer, son of a Steel worker, CMU grad!
