My favorite, and you listed it already, is European! I think every single friend that has ever visited comments how downtown feels so European....one friend called it "Little Luxenbourg". :D

A couple that I hear alot:

Clean and Neat.

Hmmm, I usually see the "European" comparisons reserved for Charleston, but in a way, I can see how it can be applied to Greenville.

The one word that comes to my mind is "proud."

And I thought Charlotteans were in love with themselves...:D

I for one chose to move to Greenville because the city can evoke very strong, positive emotion. I don't call that proud. I call it being in love.

I don't mean "proud" in a negative way, but in a very positive way. The city is proud of its accomplishments and doesn't mind showcasing them to the rest of the world. Sorry if I was unclear.

Actually, that is one of the most common references used when describing Main Street. I've heard and read it in numerous television and magazine pieces. :D

You better believe we're proud citizens of Greenville! :D But of course, people remark all the time how warm and friendly Greenvillians are, so the pride is shown in the way we continue to improve the city.
