WV - Pullman Square

Official Site

In the 1960's, as an on-going part to revitalize downtown Huntington, a four square block section of development was razed. In the 1970's, a civic center was developed on a fraction of the land, and an apartment complex and a restaurant was developed on an even smaller plot. The vast majority, and most visible, was left as a broken patch of asphalt with a suburban restaurant anchoring one corner.

Today, it is home to a new hotel and Pullman Square. The URL above is the offical link to the site, and has many articles linked to Huntingtonnews.net and The Herald Dispatch.

The special section on the H-D site is gone, but you can access the photo galleries, with some nice overviews, and some related articles here --
