Cooper-Young Condos

Memphis Daily News reported today a mixed use development at Young, from New York to Philadelphia. It looks to be two stories. The link is http://www.memphisdailynews.com/Editorial/...d.aspx?id=91604. What do you all think? I have mixed feelings on it. I think it looks and sounds unremarkable. However, this may bolster CY's reputation as a thriving neighborhood.

I like the design. It seems like it'll fit right in with the atmosphere of the neighborhood. Didn't they announce these plans when they tore down the factory that once stood on the site?

Yeah, I believe this was proposed awhile back.

I don't think it looks that bad either. I suppose it could be more imaginative, but the pic is pretty small, so you really can't see much. I like the middle building. I think the prices are cheap--$120,000 to $130,000 for a 2 bedroom is far cheaper than what you could buy a 2 bedroom house for in that area.
