Critics try to pressure landlords of busy clubs

A bar fight has broken out in Buckhead Village, but it's not over a tab.

Robin Loudermilk has launched an advocacy group, Buckhead Alliance, and started buying properties, vowing to not to rent to bar owners.

This fight is between landlords who rent to Buckhead saloons and a newly mustered posse of business owners seeking a more tranquil identity for the village.

In place of high-octane bars, the new guard envisions a Virginia-Highlandesque smattering of small shops; instead of loud partygoers stumbling along Peachtree Street, they want to see families eating ice cream together.

The battle for the soul of Buckhead is under way, and people like Robin Loudermilk have taken up the fight. A scion of Aaron Rents founder Charlie Loudermilk Sr., he has begun buying properties
