There is a rumor that Delta Air Lines will announce this week that it is beginning service to Africa. South Africa to be exact and Johannesburg will be the city.

South African Airlines will be leaving Atlanta sometime this year because they have joined STAR alliance and Delta is in the SkyTeam alliance.

When this happens, Delta would most likely use Boeing 777s on the service, with a fuel stopover in Dakar, Senegal.
