GRDadof3 3934 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 I was given a little tour of Lakeshore East off of Randolph the past couple of days, and wow! what a place. With potentially 20 mid/high-rise residential buildings, an elementary school, access to Lake Michigan and a marina, incredible views of Aon Center, and sitting in such an awesome spot at the North tip of Millenium Park, this is quite the crown jewel in Chicago. Here is a siteplan of the "neighborhood" http://www.lakeshoreeast.com/images/LSEneigh.pdf I have some night shots I'll post on Friday.

GRDadof3 3934 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 What was there before Lakeshore East (i.e. where did all of this space for new development that is downtown on the lakeshore come from?) It used to be a golf course run by Family Golf Centers of Chicago: Related articles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakeshore_East
