With all the new exciting developments happening all over the city, I thought that it would be fun to have a topic which keeps tab of our tallest buildings which could be updated when new, taller developments come along and replace them! Would anyone like to take the challenge and post what they believe will be the top ten towers including both proposed or existing buildings?

Ok, I think it'll go something like this...

1. Hoffler Tower (if it's built)

2. Granby Tower

3. Dominion Tower

4. Ghent South Tower

5. Hilton Hotel

6. Bank of America

7. Trader Tower

8. 150 W. Main Street

9. Waterside Marriott

10. Norfolk Southern Tower

(11.) Harbor's Edge (if Hoffler isn't built)

That, to me, seems to make the most sense on how it will all work out

3. Hoffler Tower- 33 floors (if determined that current height will not change)

4. Rivers Edge- 31 floors

5. Dominion Tower- 26 floors confirmed 340ft

6. Hilton Hotel- 25 floors probably 320ft +

7. Ghent South Towers 24 floors (possible tie with #4)-around 300, perhaps slightly taller than BoA

8. BoA- 23 floors confirmed 304ft

9. 150 w. main-20 floors confirmed 292 ft

This might seem a little pessimistic but I think probability favors something like this

1. New office tower @ St. Pauls (40+- stories) ...come on Norfolk, no box here, go for it

2. Granby Tower (she gleams like a new planet)

3. Rivers Edge (a very good and ballsy idea)

4. Dominion Tower (office floor heights still rule)

5. B of A

6. Norfolk Southern

7. 150 West Main

8. Trader

9. Marriott

10. Kotarides (20 floors of apartments just ain't that tall, but she's glossy)

not as tall but new (and nice)

Hilton and Convention Center (filler, not killer)

Ghent South Towers (condo slowdown changes this a bit)

Hoffler property (I would be surprised to see anything over 18 stories here)
