Warren's new city center takes shape

Construction focuses on city hall, public square with retail, residential additions

I'm not sure exactly. I'm not familiar with Warren. Maybe one of the other Detroit forumers is. For some reason 12 Mile sticks in my mind. I'm going to do some research to see if I can pinpoint the location of the project.

I was going to guess around or on VanDyke.

I lived in Warren between 1974-1976 actually.

Stale city.

Maybe this project might give it some flavor.

I figured I'd give lil stats on the city.

It's population is right around 140,000

30 years ago it had about 180,000

But Wayne and Macomb countys older burbs like Warren has suffered population loss like Detroit.

It seems like Oakland county is the place to be.

Well, I'm happy that Warren is working to make their downtown more urban like. I have to agree, I found that area rather stale last time I went through.
