Yes, those placards are of Rock Hill's acclaimed Anderson Car Company (nothing to do with the S.C. city). I can't believe you guys don't know about South Carolina's automobile company (albeit historical since it is long gone)! Yes, that's right, BMW wasn't the first auto plant in the state--between 1916 and the late 1920s Anderson made very fine automobiles. There is an excellent restored one on displayin the State Museum.

That second picture is the one I mentioned way back at the beginning of this thread (that faces Marion Square). That is probably the best garage design in SC that isn't surrounded entirely by a building. THanks for taking that one krazee!
