What was just becoming a local tradition now needs a new home. Some people are suggesting Shockoe. I'm not so sure about that.

It's race weekend in Richmond.

 

Over 100,000 spectators pack the grandstands on the 3rd/4th Saturday in April every year to watch NASCAR Sprint Cup racing. This year, it's the Toyota Owners 400.

Saw this for the first time this evening. Sounds really cool and will likely be a huge event! Could be a draw for many from miles away if this becomes a thing each year! Check it out:
