The Hills and Hollows of PITTSBURGH

ok, this is an extremely random Pittsburgh photo thread. Normally I have an objective to cover a certain neighborhood or get some skyline shots from unique angles... but this time I had no inspiration to do anything... so I just random drove and walked around parts of the city and snapped whatever looked interesting.

Here's a view of downtown and Mellon Arena from the redeveloped Crawford-Roberts portion of the Lower Hill District.

Now I will give you a tour of Duck Hollow. Duck Hollow is Pittsburgh's smallest, most obscure, most hidden... and most endangered neighborhood. Plans for the Mon-Fayette expressway may obliterate this bucolic hamlet.

Nice shot of the developments at the new Children's Hospital . . . I like those Herron Hill shots, last time I was up there to take pics I got stopped by 2 street clothed PPD detectives on my way down the staircase . . . then again Cheney was coming to the 'burgh later that week, the two thought I was taking pics of the treatment facility up there. I did let them know about this forum though, wonder if they started posting yet ;).
