Where was the convention, I asume at the Crown Plaza on 44th st and washington. I actually live right in front of where they are laying the first rail, down the road from 44th st at Parkside drive and washington.

As for economic development, I have not scene much new construction since the line began, but I am sure this will change once it is complete in a few years. Until then construction is a headache for not only residents but also businesses on the route.

We met at the Hyatt Regency downtown. They are laying tracks on Jefferson (near 20th as well). There were reps from about 40 transportation systems, maybe more.
