Fernan Tower would be tallest building in Cd'A, North Idaho

news01.jpg

FERNAN VILLAGE -- Coeur d'Alene's tiny neighbor to the east could become home to the region's tallest building.

Meridian-based Charter Builders, which has projects throughout the Northwest, is proposing the 240,000-square-foot Fernan Tower, estimated to cost $50 million.

The slender building, pegged for Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive just south of Eduardo's Lounge on land currently occupied by the Monte Vista motel, would be 25 to 30 stories and up to 300 feet tall.

The property is just west (south) of I-90 near the golf course. The views will probably feature the lakes, hills, and golf course.

This pic pretty much sums up the area, the proposed tower would be on the other side of the hill on the left side of the pic:

:D I bet the views up at the top will almost be worth what will be charged for them. Is it a hotel or condo or condo/hotel.
