Hillsborough St YMCA?

I was reading another post about the YMCA located in AT in Durham and it jogged my memory about the Hillsborough St. YMCA.

I heard a while back that the Y was planning to demolish the old Y on Hillsborough St. and replace it with a brand new facility. As I remember, they are trying to get away from the "hotel" function to focus more on the wellness and family activities. Does anyone have any more info on this? Any idea when or if it will get started soon?

I heard that this is still the case. I have an inside source that tells me that they are still planning on redoing the one at Hillsborough.

They need to...the place looks horrible inside and out.
