Kress Building in DT Greensboro to be fully occupied

It looks like another restaurant and nightclub is coming to downtown Greensboro. The disco club will be called "Inferno"

Terrace on top of Kress Building overlooking South Elm Street

I like the fact that there are a variety of nightclubs to choose from and not just the same kind of nightclubs. The dual piano restaurant should be interesting. Raleigh and Wilmington both have a Rum Runners Restaurant.

There is a great book on Kress architecture that devotes several pages to the Greensboro building

Greensboro's Kress Building is one of the best preserved, nicest ones left - it's great that it is playing a role in the revitalization of downtown.

Downtown is really on the move. Here is a rarely seen angle of Greensboro's skyline. (looking South). You can even see the Gateway Tower in the photo. This photo was obviously taken from the 15-story Hampshire condo building about a mile north of downtown.
