what would chicago be without the el? it connects people, neighborhoods, jobs, and everything in between... it serves pretty much the whole city, from the deep south side, to the workaday southwest, to the gritty west side, through the multicultural northwest and the gentrifying north side... and you sure can't the kind of view you get from the el when you're underground...
