New Musicians Museum to open Downtown

In today's Tennessean:

This will be a great addition to the downtown area and within sight of the Country Music Hall of Fame. I think developments like this will continue to show up in Nashville and surrounding areas, especially if the new CC is built. We will need more attractions in Nashville to keep people occupied during their stay and more attractions that will appeal to kids and families. So I would look for more family type developments to show up soon. Just a hunch.

Ironically the address for this museum is

"Tennessee Electric Supply building at 301 Sixth Ave. S., on the corner of Clark Place"

so if the CC is developed as proposed this building would be razed.

That was my thought too. Well its a start and I am sure there will be another place for them to go if the CC happens.

This sounds like an excellent idea though... just another thing to add to the "Music City" theme of the city.

Simply amazing. I wonder how much incorporating the Museum into the convention center will add to project cost. Also, I wonder if will result in a less effective design for the CC. Hopefully not.
