Corpus Christi is often overlooked in these forums and is similar in size to other southern cities like Ashville, Huntsvillle, and Shreveport.

Corpus Christi is located in southern Texas on the gulf about 2 hours from San Antonio and 4 from Houston

Its metro pop. is around 450,000

Im curious what other people in the south think about Corpus Christi.

I've never been, but I've heard it's a fun place to be. And it's gorgeous from what I've seen in photos. It's similar in size to my home city, Shreveport, but as much as I hate to say it... sounds like it's a lot more fun.

I've been many times to the area and love it. You live at the most beautiful and interesting part of the Texas coast no doubt about it. You are close to the Aransas Refuge, the National Seashore, Port Aransas, Mustang Island State Park etc. What a great place. And Corpus is a clean, nice city.

I saw a picture of the baseball stadium, Whataburger Field, and was impressed.

I didn't realize Corpus was so nice, I need to make it down there sometime.
